Wednesday afternoon Aftercare is cancelled until further notice due to timetable restructuring and therapeutic programme updating. Saturday Aftercare remains as previously. Any queries please call t. 01934 627600.
Reunion 2010
Don't forget our annual Reunion will be 11 September at St Pauls Church Hall, Walliscote Road, Weston-super-Mare, from 1.30pm. There'll be shares, food, raffle and opportunity to catch up with friends old and new. We look forward to seeing you all.
Changes to Secondary Care
Having undertaken a review of service late in 2009, Western Counselling has revised the treatment programme delivered in secondary care. Commencing on March 1st 2010, the new programme will be more structured and intensive, however will continue to take clients through the renowned 12Step programme of Recovery, with both group therapy and 1:1 counselling sessions.
Workshops and lectures on subjects including budgeting, parenting, food and nutrition, spirituality and goal setting will be delivered weekly in addition to ongoing relapse prevention work.
Each client will undertake an educational or vocational course and attend voluntary work in the community.
The programme remains at 12 weeks duration and referrals are accepted from other primary care treatment services.
